Zoning change sought for Holiday Inn project in Bemidji

The Bemidji Planning Commission will discuss a re zoning and special use permit by Winslow Chamberlain Equity Corporation to develop a Holiday Inn near the Bemidji airport. The plan seeks 27.5 acres of 34.5 as B 3 and 7 acres as I 1 with a service station motel complex including 120 rental units and 52 000 square feet of buildings plus a 300 car and 12 aircraft parking area. Public hearing Monday at 8 p m in City Hall with other items including relocation of a lodging house and a front yard variance. Representatives will answer questions and the public is invited to attend.

Frohn voters to decide on fire protection tax vote

Frohn Township will hold an election on April 24 from 5 to 8 PM at Frohn Town Hall to decide on joining the Bemidji Rural Fire Association for fire protection. The plan would levy five mills on all property to fund services, raising the average township tax by about 2.03 percent and about $6.09 for a $300 tax bill in 1992.
