A correspondent questions the Telescope about past legal ads in a case with I O Savage as plaintiff and Sheridan as defendant. They ask if fixed advertisements were printed, if sworn statements were filed, if a district court motion questioned the charges, and whether Judge Wilson approved $26.90 or another amount.
The Board of County Commissioners met July 3 6 and 7 1876 with full attendance. Several residents were released from certain assessments due to cronidus returns. Petitions asked for roads to be viewed or opened by C F Ericsson M Polly and others and J W Murray and others with designated starting points routes and view locations set as the viewers were appointed.
The board discussed section line adjustments and road work including opening sections 35 and 15 and declaring lines a public highway. It approved bonds for local officials and considered a dram shop license petition rejected. Appraisals and boundary changes were reviewed, tax sales issues addressed, and bills paid.
