It cites native roots such as Golden Seal Queen's root Stone root Bloodroot Mandrake root and Black Cherrybark, extracted with glycerine to create a non alcoholic remedy said to restore vitality, nerves, blood, and tissues.
Cincinnati Reds pitcher Bedford Bob Wicker outdueled Frank Sparks of the Quakers in a final series opener at Philadelphia. Wicker allowed one run on seven hits with four strikeouts and a two-base hit, supported by strong ball behind him as Lobert and the Admiral tallied, while Little Hug pulled off a successful squeeze play to seal the win.
Otto Gresham of North Bedford was rushed to Lawrence County Hospital Friday for an operation by Dr. Freeland on an unhealthy growth on the top of his foot probably from a bruise. He is recovering and expected to be out in a few days. Gen. Geo W Cook, once of Mitchell, Indiana, led Colorado GOP governor race at Denver convention and Dr. Henry A Buchtel of Denver University was nominated. Dr. Buchtel is a DePauw alumnus who married a Greencastle woman after college.
The Grand Jury adjourned without final action but reconvened after a period of delay. Investigations include the burning of Fernado DeFord's store at Dark Hollow causing about 5,000 in damages and provoking strong local indignation. An indictment is believed likely.

The 67th Indiana Infantry plans a Mitchell reunion on Thursday led by President Major Kelly with John B. Malott of Erie as Secretary. About 60 to 70 members dined at Mole Nugent's hotel and then gathered at the County Opera House for speeches, with many locals attending.

Roy Rich aged ten, three miles south of Wallonia, died Friday from a gunshot wound from a 22 caliber target rifle presented to him the day before. Authorities warn that a loaded gun in a boy's hands is dangerous and accidents happen when Careless handling leads to tragedy.
In Mitchell on Sunday evening Wadford or Pruitt was found unconscious intoxicated on Fourthteenth and Lincoln. He pled guilty to intoxication before Mayor Fillion and paid $11 including costs. Also Martin Ridge of Avoca pleaded guilty to permitting gambling and paid $36 total. John Mitchell pleaded guilty to provoking Carter the restaurant man and paid $9.50 in costs.

Firefighters contained the blaze with about 25 dollars in damage. Fireman Ray Tyre fell from the hose wagon, injuring his knee and hands but suffering no serious harm.
The Indiana State Railroad Commission and railroad employees filed a complaint over the Monon Railroad overhead bridge at Putnamville in Green Castle. A survey will determine a standard clearance of twenty two feet and cost estimates for repairs, with County Surveyor Lane leading the measurements north and south of the site. He left three children Mrs Samuel Judah Claude Fish and Orville Fish.
The seventy fifth session of the Indiana Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church opens at First Methodist in Greensburg on September 16. Bishop Goodsell will preside with a cabinet to aid in next year’s appointments. The conference will include about ninety thousand Methodists, with sermons by J G Carnes and S S Penrod. Notables include John H Kremer, Grace Hower ton, Jerry Lewis, and Lola Daugherty.
Silas Canada a Monroe county farmer in Washington township fought a robber last week after warning his son not to bring the pocket book. The attacker demanded money as Canada bent to grab a club and was struck in the face before Canada struck back, knocking the assailant down. The thief, a tall dark man about 45, fled. Canada sustained injuries but is not seriously harmed and will bear marks for weeks.
F P Smith, president of the Columbus and Seymour Traction Co, ran a special train to Seymour and delivered 7,000 cross-ties along the interurban grade toward Seymour. The ties, bought near Kurtz, were shipped to Terre Haute for preservation in a soaking bath, extending their life.
Police are on the lookout for a two man swindle duo last seen in Iowa Wisconsin and Illinois guiding a change racket. They stage quick purchases with a ten dollar bill then swap a one dollar bill and claim a ten dollar note with a specific number to frighten clerks into giving extra change, then share the proceeds before moving on to another shop.
In Smithville, an estimated twelve men of the community abducted Wampler from his home on a Saturday night and whipped him for debts and family mistreatment. The attackers warned him to improve work, behavior, and payments or face another session. Reports say the event spread quickly, with local confirmation before Wampler spoke.
