Lawrence County Council ruled that Heltonville Clear Springs Silverville and Springville and Main street in Mitchell Lawrenceport road are of public utility. Roads Hamers Mill Daugherity school Thomas Pierce Old Spencer and Sam Holmes in Mitchell were deemed not public utility.
Bedford bloodhounds were called to near Indian Springs to trace the fire that destroyed a farm house and barn Wednesday afternoon. Joe Watson and his wife and four children, tenants on a Terre Haute area owner’s farm, lost everything but the clothes they wore. They had just moved from Anderson, Indiana, and the day’s trip marked the first time the couple had left the house together since moving in. Dogs followed a trail from the barn to a nearby house about a mile away. no arrests were reported that afternoon.

Mrs. Jesse Hill driving a Chevrolet collided with Conductor Al Hunter’s Saxon 6 near the Harry Gainey residence as she passed a car. Harry Donica, a 10th and 1 Streets dining figure, sustained a painful injury to his right hand after contact with a wall opening on Wednesday evening. The palm was affected and medical attention followed.
William C. French of Danville Indiana married Viola Jones of Lawrence County at 10 o clock Thursday in Justice L. Smiths office on the east side of the public square. They will reside in Danville.
