London reports that Allies finalize plans for rapid military action if Germany proves recalcitrant as German leaders at Weimar face Allied moves.
Paris reports that if invasion occurs the first action will be arrests of those responsible for the war and readers who opposed signing the treaty, according to an authoritative source.
In Weimar on June 19 five of the members have not yet decided, while four oppose and five favor the treaty. A prominent German signing leader indicated support for the treaty, with Democratic party members split in stance.
The Pennsylvania State Senate in Harrisburg ratified the Federal Suffrage amendment on June 19. The action confirms the state’s approval of the nationwide vote rights expansion.

Lewis N. Smith of near Salem died Monday evening at age 87. He was brother of Dr. William H. Smith and father of Prof Franklin P. Smith, former Bedford City Schools Superintendent. Funeral services were held at Salem Cemetery conducted by Massie Lodge, with Smith serving as Master in past years. He left two children Lewis N. Smith Jr and Mrs Laura Maudlin.
