Henderson, youngest son of Hiram Henderson of Farmer's Insurance, attended the Indianapolis Encampment and likely contracted the illness. The family has six adults. Commencement exercises have been canceled due to the outbreak.

Strikes Over Pay Schedule Hit Consolidated Quarry Mills
About 150 workers at Consolidated quarry No 2 and mills Nos 1 and 2 quit at noon Thursday over a pay schedule change from monthly to semimonthly. A May 15 request to pay on the 20th and 30th was reportedly agreed, but checks were withheld when they returned.
