The marriage of Miss Lena Taylor and Clarence Massey was held yesterday afternoon at Dr. J. W. Newland’s West Sixteenth Street home. The groom is Edward Massey’s son and the bride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Taylor, works at the Crystal Theatre. They will soon set up housekeeping. Lydia A. Gehring, widow of John Esing, died Saturday of typhoid fever. funeral was in Williams yesterday. Otts Benke, a Noblesville tailor, spent Sunday at home.
Henry McDonald, charged with murdering William E. Dwyer, appeared in circuit court in Terre Haute with his arm in a sling and no attorney. He said he was negotiating with counsel and would know soon, with court urging him to secure legal aid. He showed no visible fear or tremor, and officials noted he is weak but improving while awaiting arraignment and trial.
