One nursery Daniel Warren Carmel Hamilton county shows San Jose scale and anthracnose fungus with certificate withheld. Certificates may be granted after affidavits of following recommendations. others await results of reinspection.
The Alliance baseball club edged Ravenna as catcher Rariden threw out multiple runners at second and third and at home to keep the score close. A lightning throw to third ended the threat, Gilligan making the final play. Rariden is credited with twelve put outs.
Monday afternoon in Bloomfield bridge worker Shorty Hinds lured 15 year old Bessie Patterson onto a train for Bedford to elope. The couple fled to Ellison then to Owensburg to mislead pursuers before being arrested in Bedford and returned to that city. authorities dropped kidnapping charges as Bessie claimed voluntary participation.

Rev Henry W Baldridge a young athlete broke up a drinking party near Attica on Thursday night. He dispersed the drinkers and smashed all jugs, stopping the liquor flow at a camp in the woods. Citizens had sent whisky there after failing to buy alcohol in town. The minister denounced the sale and urged drinkers to quit. J Marley Hall now in charge of the Oolitic News.

The Fourth passed quietly in Bedford with two major parks hosting amusements. About 2,000 paid at Washington Park and 2,000 more on the grounds at Lakewood. no arrests or disorder reported.
