Fire Wrecks Elks Club Rooms In Heitger Building

Fire at 2 30 this morning damages the Elks Club Rooms on the second floor of the Heitger building west of the Post Office. Police and Fire Department crews extinguish flames with strong water pressure. The Elks furniture and stock at Pearson Hardware and The Art Store suffer damage. losses are insured. A neglected cigar or match likely started the blaze after a late club gathering.
