Bedford High School Notes and Sports Outlook
Miss Eddie Lister, a 1901 graduate, is very ill and plans a Des Moines visit when able. Botany classes classify plants, gifts expand the assembly room, and Bedford may send a rep to the State Oratorical Contest in Columbus, though unlikely this year. Graduates include Allen, Malott, Duncan, Box, Byers, Scoggan, Brown, Edwards, and Boyd. An accident at Terre Haute injured Professor Kimbel, with slim hopes for recovery. Civil Service exams for naval academy eligibility proceed, with two Terre Haute and four Indianapolis contestants. Athletic practice at the Fairgrounds shows promising sprinters and hurdlers, but Bedford’s track depth remains limited beyond two strong athletes.
