Mrs Dora Benson of Linton reaches a settlement for four thousand dollars in a wreck case against the B and O Southwestern. Bedford completes Thornton flats on North L street converting a brick building into four modern units. John Koch, severely burned in a coal grinding department explosion, underwent a skin graft to save his life. Doctors removed healthy skin from four co workers and his son, lifting it from the back and placing it on his hips to calves. The two hour operation was performed Sunday evening by Dr. H Emery, and Koch rests after the ordeal.

Mrs Anzeline Evans widow of Squire William P Evans died Friday at 3 PM at her home five miles west of Bedford in her 30th year. The funeral was Sunday at 2 PM with services by Rev R S Hyde and burial at Shiloh. Bedford’s veteran citizen William Blantin Chrisler died Saturday at 12 45 PM at his South H Street home born Aug 28 1825 in Elbert County Georgia later moving with his family to a Mississippi plantation.
The obituary profiles Professor and Elder Chrisler of Bedford Indiana born near Marietta Ohio educated at Wesleyan Delaware and long active in Indiana schools. He served as county superintendent and founded the county graded system, was a Church of Christ preacher and justice of the peace. The Elnora blaze started at Arch Vinal's Drug Store at 10 o clock last night and swept through a large portion of the town.
