Addie Wilson born August 2, 1859 in Primfield Illinois died October 27 1934 in Seattle Washington aged 75 years 2 months and 25 days. She lived in Bedford Iowa with sister Mrs. Robert Smith attended a Kirksville Missouri private school where she met future husband Lafayette Combs. Lafayette was eldest son of Captain John W. Combs who led a Civil War Union Army company.

Bedford settlers build west Main sawmill and three story furniture house
In early days a sawmill rose on West Main Street and a three story building at Main and Court streets housed a furniture factory and retail store. Taylor County figures and his sons shaped Bedford life, Adie Wilson married Lafe Combs at Kirksville in 1878, the couple later relocated via Canon City and Seattle. They had eight children and were active in church and social life. Mrs. Combs died Oct 27 1934 after influenza, sons and daughters survive across Seattle Honolulu Portland Philadelphia and Berlin with funeral held Oct 30 in Seattle.

Forgery Case Sentences Paroled Girl to Reformatory
Darlene Gardner of New Market pleaded guilty to uttering a forged instrument. Judge H H Carter sentenced her to reform school custody at Mitchellville until of age, then paroled to her father. Prosecutor Roger Warin noted two forged checks for five dollars passed at Bedford Fruit Co. by Mrs Reeves of New Market.
