Miss Alice Hewn daughter of Mr and Mrs Orin Hewn wed Saturday in Clermnde to Guy McNutt of Wreckton. The couple left Sunday to establish a home in New Merket where the bridegroom has employment.
East Side Pinothle club met at the home of Mr and Mrs Tommy Vierm with five tables in play and refreshments served. A kitchen shower for newlyweds Mr and Mrs Ralph Normen Deal occurred at the church basement with fifty guests enjoying pie and coffee as games followed.
The Willing Workers Sunday school class held its regular meeting Wednesday at Mrs. June Mason's home. Mrs. P. C. Wiler led the lesson with all members assisting. Refreshments were served.
Prescott girls and Zion boys prepare for key matches after Conway Cyclones opened with a 31 to 22 win over Benton. Sheridan and Prescott loom as tough foes with veterans and strong teams. Music at the declamatory contest featured a violin quartet and solo performances.

Mrs. Charley Dawson died Tuesday at St. Francis Hospital in Maryville after a weeklong illness. Funeral services were held Wednesday at the Brethren church west of Sheridan with Rev. C. C. Pritchard officiating. Burial followed in the Brethren cemetery. Survived by husband Harold an adopted son, her parents Mr. and Mrs. David Brogan, three brothers Floyd Ralph and Emmer Brogan, and sister Mrs. John Auten, all of Sheridan.
