Mrs. Vi va Mahoney hosted the M. L. C. Club meeting with fourteen members present. Hilda Skinner led the Inspira tion and Effie Aukland ran the business while Federation news and the education topic were discussed. A social hour followed and heat outages due to a severed gas line between Clearfield and Lenox affected residents.

Weekend guests and family visits across towns

Davenport and Craig of Ottumwa visited Friday as weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Davenport and were Sunday dinner guests for Mrs. Davenport’s birthday. Arthur Conway reported arrival at his Mesa winter home. Many local residents hosted relatives and attended events including anniversaries, travels to Griswold and Omaha, and last rites for Alvin Seymour in Green Bay.
