Obituary: Cecil Beamer Dies at 37 in Creston
Cecil Beamer died Friday November 3 at Greater Community hospital in Creston at age 37 after years of ill health. He served eight years as deputy clerk of Ringgold county district court from 1935 to 1943 and later farmed. Survived by mother Maude Beamer wife a son eight a daughter two brother and two sisters. Funeral was held Sunday at United Presbyterian church in Clearfield conducted by Rev C F Hoffman.

Veterans honored at schoolhouse social event night
The Women’s Auxiliary hosted veterans of World War I and II Friday evening at the schoolhouse with a pot-luck supper. The M L C met at Mrs. Pearl Stephenson’s home with seven members present.
