The BHS senior class day program held in the auditorium featured awards for vocal and instrumental music athletics including baseball and track, commercial achievements, Senior Scholastic, vocational agriculture, librarianship, speech and cheerleaders. A skit directed by Mrs Hallenbeck and Mrs Kirketey completed the program, with the song of advancement led by Supt. Van Dyke as seniors exited and underclassmen moved in.

BHS Seniors Tour ISU Veishea Day Highlights
Thirty one BHS seniors attended the Veishea day program at Iowa State College on Friday May 1. They toured college departments visited fraternity and sorority houses and viewed a B 29 bomber fighter plane and two helicopters. The event featured swimming exhibitions wrestling matches a horse show and a Stars Over Veisha show. Sponsors were Mrs Louise Hallenbeck and Mrs Kathryn Kirkteg.

Old Texts Will Be Rebound and New Books Ordered
Bedford public schools will rebound worn texts and add about 1200 dollars worth of new material. The plan includes four sets of graded social science for grades four through seven and biology and physics texts for the high school. Rebinding is by Hou Chen Bindery of Utica Nebraska with charges from 85 cents to 1.25 per book.
