Home Economics Dept Receives Four New Stoves
The BHS homemaking department received four new electric stoves as part of an annual contract with BHIS. Mrs. Vessey Spry, home economics instructor, says the school covers only shipping charges. Installers include two Westinghouse stores from Iowa Power and Light Co. and two General Electric units from Prugh's Hardware.

LeRoy Moffett was elected District chairman of Program Area of Christian Citizenship at the MYF District meeting last Sunday in Lenox. Richard Fine holds the same sub-district office. BHS 1955 Graduates Take Annual Walkout To Kansas City
Thirty nine seniors from BHS toured Kansas City on their annual walkout day April 29. They left at 6:00 a.m. by chartered bus and arrived at the Municipal Airport at 8:45. Twenty four rode a Braniff DC-3 for a 20 minute air tour. Meals and visits included Forum Cafeteria Ford plant Union Station city hall Liberty Memorial and private dining at Sammie Lupin's. Evening entertainment featured a Kansas City New York baseball game stage shows and quovies. Sponsors were Mrs. T J Kirketey and Mr. Robert Duncan financed by bake sales dances a class play and a scrap drive with 15 cents weekly dues.
