SHARPSBURG Presbyterian Church invites all to services with Church School at ten and Worship at eleven featuring music and fellowship. A Mother's Day program is planned for Sunday May 11 with choir practice at the manse and high school baccalaureate services in the church.
Diner guests include Ralph Ratliffe Shenandoah and Mary Castleberry Lakeland Florida with Castleberry staying longer. Lenox visitors Pluma Ray Alma McGrew call on friends. Frank Bridgewater Jay Bush Myrna Bush and Gordon Elder visit. County 4-H committee meeting honors Dewey Hensley Ralph Andrew with certificates and discusses summer activities and leaders training.
Gravity Methodist Church conducts services at 10 with the theme The Family and the Kingdom. Church School follows worship. evening song service and meditation. Wednesday at 30 WSCS prayer meeting led by Pastor W J Weber.
Des Moines visits and family gatherings are listed including Drs EJ Janson and family moving into a new home bought from Dr George Keays. Several funerals are noted Ray Walker and Mrs Jeans. Local residents attended services in Clearfield and Mount Ayr and received guests from Seymour Diagonal Glenwood Cla rinda Mont Ayr Villisca and other towns.
Perry Fine 76 died Sunday afternoon at Municipal Hospital Clarinda after a lingering illness. He spent most of his life on the home farm south of Siam and is survived by his wife ten children and one sister. Funeral services were held Wednesday at the Siam Methodist church with burial in Siam cemetery. Attending the Shambaugh wedding were locals including Rosealthea Cavner and Charles Beery with a Church of God ceremony in Sham baugh.

Mr and Mrs Lewis Wells and Mrs Martha Thomas of Clarinda visited Sunday afternoon in the Frank Potter home, joining local families from Glenwood and Omaha.
Mrs Lee Cumberlin and pupils enjoyed a picnic dinner and wiener roast in the school yard Monday noon. Mrs Roy Davison hosted the Pine Community Club Wednesday afternoon.
