Mother's Day program set at Sharpsburg church

SHARPSBURG Presbyterian Church invites all to services with Church School at ten and Worship at eleven featuring music and fellowship. A Mother's Day program is planned for Sunday May 11 with choir practice at the manse and high school baccalaureate services in the church.

Perry Fine dies at 76 in Clarinda hospital

Perry Fine 76 died Sunday afternoon at Municipal Hospital Clarinda after a lingering illness. He spent most of his life on the home farm south of Siam and is survived by his wife ten children and one sister. Funeral services were held Wednesday at the Siam Methodist church with burial in Siam cemetery. Attending the Shambaugh wedding were locals including Rosealthea Cavner and Charles Beery with a Church of God ceremony in Sham baugh.
