25 BHS Students Answer School Cost Survey Questions

A BHS journalism survey of 25 local high school students finds an average annual school expense of 18 dollars. Paper costs total 4 dollars per student, writing tools 2.25 dollars, pencils 0.85 dollars, and workbooks 1 dollar. Sophomores and juniors pay 1.30 for the Senior Scholastic magazine as part of history class.

Duane King Plans Farming Expansion On King Farm

Duane King a 17 year old Bedford High senior and FFA member has seven acres of beans to plant this spring with his tractor. He previously farmed 25 acres of corn and will also work ground on his father Ted King’s Route 3 property. He envisions building another farm pond and continues football Hi Y and basketball involvement while planning to farm with his father after graduation.
