Three Fires Beach Opens for 1973 Season at Lake of Three Fires
The Lake of Three Fires concession opens May for the 1973 season from 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. daily. Kathryn Harris reports full time water safety instructors Danny Harris and Jim Cox with Debbie Jones on weekends. Randy Keith and Dean Harris lead the boat house water craft division with 14 aluminum boats available for rent plus bait tackle ice and groceries. The fleet includes a 12 foot aluminum springer replacing the main diving board, two canoes two paddle boats and inner tubes. Valery Harris oversees the swim window while Joanne Salen runs the concession stand. Swimming lessons start June 19 with three time slots and no classes July 19 due to Taylor County Fair. The beach received 100 tons of washed sand in June and remains in excellent condition.
