Campers at the Lake of Three Fires are invited to Sunday services across Bedford churches. Listings include Baptist Ollie Odle and pastors, Masslinski at Sacred Heart, C Ray McCain at Christian Church, Jehovahs Witness Kingdom Hall programs, St Timothy Lutheran, Methodist Robert Truitt, Presbyterian at Christian Church, Hamilton Memorial U M Church with service and activities.
The Bedford Times-Press lays out free copies for campers at the state park. The complimentary issue, part of the Lake of Three Fires Welcome supplement, is funded by four Bedford merchants whose ads appear in the supplement.
At press time the Times-Press received word of an 8.5 pound channel catfish caught at the lake Saturday evening June 3 by an unidentified angler. Park officials note good fishing overall with bass crappie bullhead and bluegill catches by visitors.
