Athelstan hosted memorial services on Wednesday with a basket lunch in the park. Attendees included relatives from Conception Missouri to Cedar Rapids Iowa and many local families. A Baptist church meeting began Monday led by Miss Etta Belle Chapman. Jane Smith died Wednesday near Isadora after a long illness.

West Gay residents hosted Mr and Mrs Carl Parsons and daughter Patsy Lou and her mother along with Wilbur McClune at a dinner at Mike Dritch home in Hopkins Sunday for Patsy Lou s birthday anniversary. An East Mission church Children's Day program is set for Sunday at 10 45 am followed by a basket dinner.
