Leroy Moffett performed trombone solos with Mrs. Glenn Stewart, and Faye and Kay Whitehead played piano solos. Readings by Donnie McClarnon and Steve Hardee, a poem by Mrs. Geneva Johnson, and the Junior girls singing The Old Rugged Cross.
Mrs and Mrs Cecil Woldraft visited Saturday in the James Woldraft home near Farragut. Glenn Stewart visited Sunday afternoon in the Irvin Davison home near Braddyville. Mr and Mrs Fred Fesenmeyer of Clarinda spent Thursday evening with Cecil Woldraff e and family. Jerry Gray Deribble of Clarinda and Harvey Thompson visited Tuesday in the Junior Hardee home. Mrs Ethel Head visited Thursday and Friday with Mrs Mertie Stipe in Clarinda. Ralph Pine joined relatives for a picnic Sunday in Bibbine Park in Bedford. Jobe attended the wedding of Kathryn Teeters and Jerry Reed Sunday afternoon at the Christian church in New Market Ohio. Woldraff and family visited Sunday afternoon in the Roy Bast hone in Clearmont Missouri.
Fourth grade pupils and Mrs H Miller and families, 741 people, enjoyed a picnic at McKinley park Creston Sunday. W C T U met with Sadie Brown eleven members and one visitor present, officers elected Edna Lyddon president Helen Nelson vice president Sadie Wall secretary Sarah Owens treasurer Maude Peltier program in charge. July meeting will be a Family Picnic. Mrs Vernon Bladon hosted a birthday dinner for her mother Mrs Mabel Green with several guests. A moonlit outing at McKinley park Sunday evening. Mrs Chris Larsen returned from Excelsior Springs Mo where her sister Mrs Frank Weehlen was ill. Loyal Women Sunday school class met with Mrs Neva Smith for a quarterly class party with 28 present. Worship service led by Mrs Olive Nelson. Poems word contests glove and candy race Bible Journey sponsored by the committee. Members listed include Mrs Minnie Low Stevenson Miss Maud Stevenson Mrs Anna Grover Mrs Mable Green. A family picnic will be held Sept 28 at 6 pm. Miss Jennie Ackerman attended the Southwest Town Real Estate Convention in Red Oak last week. Mr and Mrs Melvin Gayle and family visited Sunday in Bedford with Mrs Mary Wyckoff.
