The subject moved from a farm to Athelstan in 1912 joining the telephone business. He later relocated to Bedford and then Conway, continuing in the same work until retirement. In 1944 he settled in Clearfield for the rest of his life and joined Masonic Right Angle lodge 348 at Conway, serving as Master in 1939.
