Death of Dr. J. W. Brown 73 in Hastings Neb
Word has been received of the death of Dr. J. W. Brown age 73 in Hastings Nebraska on February 10. He practiced as a physician in Clearfield for eleven years and left in 1916 for Hastings. He is survived by his wife Mary and two sons Charles and Richard and three grandchildren. Mrs. Brown was Mary Henderson, daughter of Mr and Mrs R A Henderson of Clearfield. Funeral and burial were at Hastings.

Lenox Community Observes World Day of Prayer and Scout Week
Lenox observed World Day of Prayer at United Presbyterian Church Friday afternoon February 24 at 2 30. Grade children meet at Methodist Church at 3 15 and High School students at the High School Auditorium at 3 15. Boy Scout Week included Cub Scout pot luck supper at Methodist Church with den mothers and parents. William W. Smith, 73, died Saturday at his Lenox home after a week of illness from a fall on the ice. Funeral services were held February 20 at Arnold Funeral Home conducted by Rev Clarence Richardson. Burial in Cromwell Cemetery. Survivors include his wife two sons a daughter and a step daughter.
