Bedford School Vocal Groups Prepare For Contests
Eight BHS small vocal groups train for two competitions the T arkio invitational in March and the state meet at Leon April 25 and 26. Groups include Roys double quartet and mixed quartets plus girls and mixed ensembles with members such as Howard Freemyer Jerry Bryan Lois Buzzard Janet Akers and others. Forty two BHS students completed a unit on memorizing and presenting original orations. Twenty two spoke on the Constitution while twenty remaining wrote on education. Final copies were due February 4 with memorization ending February 12 under J. S. Taylor. The contest was sponsored by the local American Legion Post.
