Third graders enjoyed a classroom party on Friday in Miss Minnick's class where students crafted valentines for mothers as part of an art activity.
Fourth graders now use a history textbook titled My Country's Beginnings after years of gathering history from stories and biographies. They also work hard on an operetta The Magic Bean Stalk to be shown Thursday Feb 27 and enjoyed a Valentine party last Friday.

The sixth grade presented a Valentine program with Betty Jean Atkins singing A Valentine Song Betty Cross reading a valentine tale Valentines from the box were exchanged and each child received red valentine candies
The Sharpsburg W C T U met at Mrs. Margaret Young's home with six members present. Mary Ann Hamblin is librarian and committees were named for a forthcoming play to fund new library books. The library opens Wednesdays after school and the public is invited. Next meeting set for Mrs. Bessie Underwood's home in March.
The Primary Room at Sharpsburg School held a Friday afternoon Valentine party and honored Doris Wolf who is leaving the school. Max Valentine returned after a week’s illness. Eula Fickess achieved 100 percent in the Friday spelling contest. The group is reading Pinocchio by C Collodi for opening exercises. Dorothy Selders had a surprise party Thursday evening honoring Lois Wolf, with all Grammar Room members and Miss Dorothy Richardson attending. The Grammar room held a Valentine party Friday.
Social events include the Peppy Pals 4-H March meeting with Vada Evans, and multiple club gatherings at homes of Hamblin, Selders, Pennebaker, and others. The recording notes farewell parties, birthday surprises, and local visits, with family and neighbor connections across Lenox, Shenandoah, Gravity, and nearby towns.
