Miss Mae Duncan receives word of her sister Mrs Maude Beveridge death on February 5 at her Woodward Town residence Beveridge a former local resident.
Bible school at 10 a.m. morning preaching at 11 a.m. Christian Endeavor at 7 p.m. preaching at 8 p.m. Bible Study club Tuesday afternoon at Mrs. Dora Lindsey's home.
The Methodist Church lists a preaching service at 10 a.m. and Sunday school at 11 a.m. The attendance contest by Junior and Senior Sunday school departments is growing with Juniors now in the lead. A Youth Fellowship meeting is planned for 6 30 p m Sunday evening.
The presiding elder Rev E Young of Lincoln Nebraska will speak next Sunday. Service schedule includes Saturday 3 PM preaching and First Quarterly Conference meeting, Sunday school 10 AM, preaching 11 AM by Rev ED Young, Young People's 7 30 PM, song service 8 15 PM and sermon by Rev ED Young. Prayer meeting at John Godfrey's home Thursday 8 PM.
The Christizen Endeavor Society held a Valentine party with a box supper on Thursday evening at Abs Ruth Dennis fame. Sixteen members attended and played various games.

Christian Ladies Aid met at the church with a Washington and Lincoln program and refreshments for 12. WSCS met with Mrs Noble Aldrich. 12 members attended with hostesses.
Mr and Mrs Roy Rauch and guests spent Sunday at the Emer Brovan home. Mrs Andrew White and two children traveled to Richmond Missouri for the illness of her mother. Mrs Christe Sherman sailed to Meade Kansas after Ed Siekman died the next day. Robert Poage of Hopkins visited for his granddaughter and great grandson. Gracie Dukes of Savannah spent the weekend with the Coopers. Bill Martin and children from Bedford visited relatives. Donna Caldwell visited Gaynor City with Mary Lou Killion. Arthur Ray and wife moved from Sheridan to Bedford. Ernest Black of Creston came to visit his brother Glen Black.
Mrs George Holbrook of Clearmont Missouri died at St Francis Hospital Maryville after a three week stay. Funeral services were at the Braddyville Methodist church conducted by Rev Ted Masters of Grant City. Burial followed in the Shearer cemetery. Survived by husband two daughters Mrs Nel Owens and Mrs Lucile Hall a son Glenn Fine and a brother Ed Ergenbright.

Families from Benton Clarinda Hopkins and Savannah joined neighbors for dinners and Sunday visits with scattered recognition of Masonic lodge attendance and hospital patients.

The Osburns moved to the Beamer property on school house street, Stevenson family moved into the Osburns’ old place, and Mrs Clifford McLaury and daughter from Lenox visited Mr and Mrs Frank Reynolds. John Duey and Donald Beggs traveled to Arkansas for business interests.
