Thirty BCHS students toured Des Moines as part of government and economics studies. They met Senator Orval Walter and Representative Ivan Wells at the state house and attended a Lincoln birthday address by Fred Schwengel before planned visits to the state historical building and the Des Moines Register and Tribune offices.

Students Ride Bus to Mount Ayr Basketball Game

Freshman Class Wins BCHS Attendance Punctuality Contest

Bedford BC SD Holds In Service Training Day
The Bedford Community School District held a day long in service education workshop at the high school. Supt. Gerald C. First Graders Visit Bedford Dentist During Health Week
Dr C W Steward hosted Bedford elementary first graders in his office last week to learn about dental care. Nurse Helen O Grady organized the visit and Steward donated his services to check teeth and demonstrate brushing. Twenty three students from Mrs Million and 23 from Mrs Blaine Shupe visited, while posters by BCHS pupils promote dental health in local windows.

BCHS Band Attends Missouri Clinic
BCHS band director Michael T. Waters and drummer Bob Hill attended a Maryville Missouri band clinic held February 4. Sixty area schools sent students to learn snare drum tympani and dance band percussion from Ward Rounds in the NWMSC administration building from 9:00 a.m. to noon.
