Bedford School Students Prepare for State Concert in Leon
Seventy one Bedford school musicians including seven small groups and fifteen soloists train under W R Hallew eck for the state contest in Leon on April 25 and 26. Groups include French horn quartet flute trio drum ensemble brass choir saxophone quartet trombone quartet mixed clarinet quartet with listed members. Soloists cover trombone bass clarinet cornets saxophones oboe and drums.

Alaska Film Shown To BHS Students
A movie of an Alaskan hunting trip was shown to BHS students on Monday February 3 by Larry Thompson of Gravity. The film includes an airplane view of forests and lakes, scenes of Nome Anchorage Fairbanks and the Aleutian Islands, and grisly moments such as cub bear capture and wild game cleaning.

Torch Yearbook Nears Final 1957 58 Shipment

Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Barker of a Gravity area farm marked their 50th anniversary with an Open House on February 5. Attendants included family from Gravity Holt township and relatives from Melville Saskatchewan and Lemons Saskatchewan. A noon dinner, wedding cake, and gold corsages highlighted the celebration with 170 guests signing the guest book.
