Attendees traveled to Des Moines and to funerals. multiple households hosted relatives and friends over Sunday and midweek.
Mrs. Arval Norton reports Conway news with Mr. and Mrs. Gall teouga and family of Clarinda visiting Roy Itzhugh. Bertha Scroggie of Clarinda spent the weekend at home. Leland Pool and Jimmie of Clarinda were Sunday visitors.

Magdalene Thompson 77 of Hopkins died at her farm home Friday after a heart attack. She lived on the same farm fifty years near Hopkins. Services were Sunday at Hopkins Methodist Church with Rev. James Evans leading and Bob Darby assisting. Survived by two sons Roy and Harry. four daughters. a sister and a brother. ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Burial in Hopkins Cemetery. Lions Club members attended Charter Night in Kansas City and a Family Night at Legions Hall featured a one act comedy by Unity Community. Baptist Associational Youth rally noted.
Sheridan reports Russel Coleman of Hopkins and Vivian Auten of Sheridan wed on Saturday February 6. Allee Pennington nuptials unite Guy Agee Jr. and Willa Pennington in Maryville. Army induction for Charles Frump and aging couple J Harley Dye celebrate 63rd anniversary. Daniel Snow dies at 50. services held February Saturday at the Christian church.
Monday night Feb 8 saw Mrs Wren Pevers and her sister visit family in Jefferson City. Mrs Robert Filson and son Edwin returned from El Segundo California after December visits. Charles Hanna and family visited Atchison and were dinner guests in the Boyd home. Maurice Pere visited his grandfather M E Pace in New Market. Herbert Treece and son Eddie were in St Joseph Friday.
Burial followed by a Grant City cemetery service for Rev Charles Mages who is survived by his wife Kathleen Snow, daughter Mrs Maxine Dreher of Sheridan, four sons Harold Bedford Keith McMinnville Darrel at home and another son missing, five grandchildren, and he is predeceased by his father John Snow. Siblings Merbert Snow Albany Robert Snow Grant City Velma Weese Denver Cole Wilma Fontaine Arcington. Corner Cafe taken over by Mr and Mrs Junior Troutwine from Mr and Mrs Walker. Quarterly Conference held at Methodist church for Sherman and Maple Grove churches with Supt Rev Iewers of Maryville in charge.

Rev Robt M Peters of Bedford Methodist church attends the annual Iowa Area Methodist Pastors school at Simpson College Endianoa Town Monday through Thursday this week. Three outstanding church leaders are there for lectures daily on various phases of church work. Also Bishop Gerald Ensley of Des Moines participates.
