The report lists church activities at Conway with Ora L. Reep and groups such as the Epworth League and Busy Bees Club. Attendees at the Young People's Conference in Bedford are named. Socials include a surprise party for D C Matheny and a Ladies Aid meeting with a birthday offering. Basketball games with Sharpsburg are scheduled for February 14 and February 7.
The school praises English class members for selling Christmas cards to raise funds for newly added books in the library.
Students began reading observation notes on Monday in Primary music. Due to repeated bad coc kis the class has used Listening Songs and practiced with the Mocking Bird and a new lullaby Thursday.
On Tuesday we ran a psychology experiment examining work decrement. One half of the class formed complex letter groups while the other half formed simple letter groups to compare performance and plan to create work decrement curves showing the results.
Students examined scenes from Dickens and studied the French Revolution era. An issue of Life Magazine provided contemporary context for the lecture and discussion about social upheaval and revolutionary violence.
The exhibit presented images depicting the Bastille’s fall and other reign of terror scenes. Curators highlighted key moments and figures, framing the era’s upheaval through visual records for viewers.
Last week several students were absent due to illness including Pearl Simmons Doyle Moore Marceline Redburn Junior Scroggie Keith Woods and Robert Norton. In art class pupils made patriotic shield posters and Lincoln Washington posters. New library books Child Story Readers Book 5 and Book 6 joined the shelves while Fifth Grade Reading began Elson Basic Reader. Wilma Boyd visited Grades 3 and 4 Thursday. Helpers this week are Bryce Beemer Marvin Brown and Mahlon Hewitt. Marian Thomas’s doll stood Friday while others learned English in hospital.
George Donaldson Anson Gold were out of town on Saturday on business. Cecil Thornton and family visited Bedford on Tuesday. J J Woods Jr and wife of Tarkio Mo spent the weekend with Wood's parents and headed to Chicago Sunday. Mason Philpott and family stayed with Ray Philpott and Mrs Dresher then visited Mrs Dresher. Roy Cox was a business visitor in Creston Monday. James Gillespie and son Billy visited the Wray home near Bedford Sunday. Al Glasyn and Roland Glasyn of Bedford visited Charles McNutt and wife Sunday. George Donaldson and family visited Sharpsburg with John Filbert Sunday.

Several relatives travel to Chadron Des Moines and Omaha as illness and supervision duties appear.
Mr and Mrs Horace Noakes visited Mr and Mrs Harold Ringgold on Sunday evening. Mr and Mrs Forest Mendenhall and daughter Judith Ann spent the evening with Mrs Mae Beery and daughter Fleeta. Robert Jackson Forest Mendenhall and Vern Melvin were seen in the area.
Several Valley district residents attended a High Prairie program on Friday evening. Names include Raymond Bridgewater and Glen McMaster at a Clearmont farm sale on Thursday. Diverse local visits, meals, and Sunday gatherings noted, with upcoming moves listed for several residents and a Masonic lodge gathering in Siam.
About thirty neighbors attended a farewell party at the Hunters home on Friday evening as they prepare to move near Bedford. Guests presented a linen table cloth and were served sandwiches, pickles, pie, and coffee with Mrs. Hoffman as hostess.
Mrs Herve Hoffman's Birthday Club met Tuesday with eight members present including guest Mrs Ross Woods. Refreshments were served. Dale Clement suffers a severe bronchitis attack. Families from Villisca and nearby towns visited for various occasions and duties.
