Holt 4-H Backs Honoring Colleen Moore With Surprise Farewell

Colleen Moore was surprised Monday January 19 as Holt 4-H boys and girls hosted a farewell party before her move. Each club contributed a gift and games and refreshments filled the evening. Earlier, Holt Lassies and leaders hosted a banquet for Holt 4-H boys and their fathers January 21 at Ivyville Hall with speakers and a piano duet by Donald and Marcia Bycroft. Mrs John Hunter and John Hunter attended as Co. Ex. Director.

The Boys Be Square met at Dean Goudie’s home on January 6 with nine members present. The Jolly Mixers held a January 15 lesson at Mrs. Lester Thompson’s home with fourteen attendees and leaders Mrs. Arthur Park and Mrs. Fay Shafar. A schedule of Home Ec classes runs February 2–12 in multiple towns plus 4-H and county events.

Funeral Rites Held for Mrs Josie McCoun in Bedford

Pallbearers at the Bedford service included Frank Sickels Marion Jenkins and Woody Tamering. Mrs M F Older and Jason Neumeyer attended the funeral. Jay Davis and family from Clarinda visited Mr and Mrs Frank Smith. Pritchard and M F Older were in Des Moines on business. Older visited his step mother Mrs Mattie Older. Herschel Scott and family of Bedford visited China Scott. John Frazier of Grant City was in town Thursday.
