The Clarinda Production Credit Association lent over 36 million dollars to about 726 member borrowers in 1970, a record year. Outstanding loans at year end totaled 17.0 million, up from 13.3 million a year earlier, with an average loan size rising to 24,659 dollars from 20,080. The association serves farmers in Page, Taylor, Fremont, Mills, Adams and Montgomery counties and is farmer-owned.
