Mr and Mrs Tom Roberts purchased the Don Robinson residence southwest of Bedford and will move this week. The Robinsons moved to Sioux City Iowa. Elaine Freemyer bought the James Salter Jr residence northwest of the school grounds, with her parents Mr and Mrs J R Freemyer to occupy by March 1. Robert Davie family vacate for a new home in Atlantic. The Salters live in California. Both deals were brokered by R E Bradley realtor.

Jack Beitman Dies After Altercation In Kansas City
Former Bedford resident Jack Beitman died in Kansas City after being struck on the head by a fellow worker Monday. A war plant employee, he died the following day. Survived by wife and daughter Betty, he was once an aviation instructor in Cobels era and later worked as a mechanic in a local garage.

Three Boys Admit Taking Lenox Car
Three youths aged 15 and 16 admitted stealing a Chevrolet coupe at Lenox about 8 30 last night and abandoning it three miles south of Clearmont. They broke into the Hardesty schoolhouse to keep from freezing and were found there this morning. All are from out of state Racine Wisconsin New York City and were turned over to Bedford authorities.

Farm accident claims Lenzo McConkey at Malvern home
Lenzo McConkey, 32, was found dead in a corn wagon field near his farm south of Malvern after failing to return from work. Authorities believe the wagon toppled onto him when he attempted to climb aboard with a full corn load. Survived by wife, five children, father A B McConkey, two brothers in service, one sister, a step mother and many siblings. Last rites were held at Brooks on Wednesday afternoon with family from Bedford attending.
