United Methodist Women Circle Four Meet December 14

Circle four of the United Methodist Women will meet December 14 at the home of Patsy Gray. The meeting will begin at 7 30 p m. Triangle Club luncheon December 13 hosted by Vivian Haidsiak. Nettie Redenbaugh will have the program. Eastern Star December 13 committee members listed. Christmas Tea by United Christian Presbyterian Women December 13 devotions and program Christmas Story chaired by Mary Cabeen. Taylor Lodge No 156 AF and AM meets December 8 at 7 30 in Masonic Temple Bedford. Travel Club hosted by Muriel Waterman December 12 Christmas program music by Dona Fine. Democratic women met November 26 for dessert luncheon and officers elected. Next meeting January 21 potluck at Blue Check Room.

Cancer Society Holds November Meeting in Clearfield

The Taylor County Unit of the American Cancer Society met November 30 at the Clearfield Lions Club Building. Mrs. Ruth Norton played pre dinner piano, six members attended, Charmion Stewart showed a child friendly film, and a Des Moines Iowa State Convention review followed. The next meeting is January 30 at 1 30 p m in Lenox with Mrs Bessie Henderson hosting.

Bowling standings show Grace Morris Oma Dalton and Minnie Hoover posting high gains while Bible study recalls Corinthians twelve. Local Residents Seek Hospital Treatments and Recoveries

Several Area residents underwent hospital care in late November and early December. Dean Newkirk of Blockton had surgery at University Hospital Iowa City on November 30. Merv Jones of Blockton remained at Rosary Hospital Corning. Tony Pace of New Market admitted November 28 at Clarinda Municipal Hospital. Betty Summerhays of Bedford admitted November 28 and discharged November 29. Neva Lawrence of Bedford admitted December 1 at Clarinda Municipal Hospital.
