Siam Former Resident Bert Roush Dies in California
Word reached Siam of the death of Bert Roush at his Pomona California home. Born and raised here he farmed near Siam, later moving to Clarinda with his wife and two married daughters. Survivors include two brothers Wm Roush Kansas City and H M Roush Des Moines and a sister Mrs Perry Fine of Clarinda.

Gravity Methodist Church Notes Obituary of George Kysar
Gravity Iowa obituary for George Orvis Kysar born January 3, 1887 on a farm southwest of Gravity and died November 23 in Iowa City at age 70 years 10 months 18 days. He spent most of life in Taylor county aside from years in Boulder Colorado. He was the last of the older Kysar generation, survived by three brothers and a foster sister. He loved music and played violin and made violins as a hobby.

Carpenter George Y. Dies After Long Illness
George, once a carpenter and cabinet maker, had been ill for years. He spent time in hospital with a broken hip last summer, then cancer was found. He died after surgery. He belonged to the Christian Church and is survived by ten nieces and nephews. Funeral at Shum Funeral Home conducted by Rev. G. W. Swan. Burial in Gravity Cemetery.
