Mrs Gussie Williamson and Mrs Trevor Winney with daughter Marjorie of Shenandoah spent Sunday at the J Williamson cafe. Mrs J S Francis left Saturday for Chicago to visit daughter Mrs Scott Cramer. Mrs Heatherington Dies at Home Near Guss

Mrs. Jim Heatherington died at her home four miles southeast of Guss at midnight Tuesday after a brief illness. She leaves husband and six children Margaret Laura Isabelle Nellie William and James. Funeral at Fairview church Friday afternoon by Rev. W. H. Warrior. Burial in Prairie Rose cemetery.

Thanksgiving oyster supper and community events list

The Helping Hand club hosted an oyster supper at Mr. and Mrs. John Groff home with all club families in attendance. Various Thanksgiving visits and social activities spread through local families including Iveyville talent plans and multiple visits to relatives in nearby towns.

Four new members join O E S chapter Tuesday evening

Four new members were taken into the O E S chapter Tuesday evening, Mrs. E A Merckling, Mrs. Irvin Stanley and Mr. and Mrs. Roger McAllister. Refreshments were served to thirty two. A basket dinner was held at the Christian church Sunday after the 11 oclock union services at the M E church. A meeting of the Worth County Christian churches was held in the Christian church after the basket dinner Sunday afternoon and union services again in the evening.

Death and funeral for Madelyn Ray in Isadora

Five year old Madelyn Marine Ray daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Ray died after a short illness with typhoid fever at Missouri Methodist Hospital St. Joseph. Funeral services were held in Isadora conducted by Rev. L B Day. Other notices recall Maggie Baker and Lon Robinson traveling to LaHarpe Kansas for a death in the family and Bert Dewis with Zane Hammer and family traveling to Kansas City for Thanksgiving activities.

Mrs D T Waldrip returned from Kansas City Monday. Mr and Mrs O K Strike and family of Toulon Ill came Tuesday to visit Mrs Cora Wilson. They returned home Friday. Harry Perkins and son Ernest from Rouleau Sask visited the H S Campbell home Monday. Miss Lavona Drake of Des Moines spent Thursday with her parents the Elbert Drakes. Mr and Mrs C B Walters Ada Fern and Lee of Bedford and Mary Kathryn Berry of Clarinda visited the Overholser home Thursday. The Overholser family spent Sunday in Bedford with the Walters family. Miss Opal Amick of Williamson visited her parents the Amicks. Miss May Streepy came Wednesday evening to visit Ola Mincks. She returned to Creston Sunday. Mr and Mrs Weidman and son Lloyd of Elliott spent Thursday and Friday. Dinner was served Thanksgiving Day at the Methodist church by the Ladies Aid.
