Ellen Parkins dies at 67 in Jackson Minnesota
Obituary notice for Ellen Parkins nee Phillips daughter of Seemedwid Nancy Sheets Perkins born Aug 22 1883 near Zaeemuela Iowa died Aug 33 1950 in Jackson Minnesota age 67. She married Jacob Parkins in 1904 and had two sons before he died in 1911. Later she wed J Wycklin Parkins of Clearfield and had one son. Also survived by husband five grandsons three sisters and other relatives. Funeral services held in Jackson and Clearfield with interment in Clearfield cemetery.

A parade of local families spent weekends and vacations visiting relatives across the Midwest and West. Trips included Yellowstone and Glacier National Parks, Seattle, San Francisco, Denver, Sheridan, and Des Moines, with numerous gatherings at relatives’ homes and attendance at the State Fair.

The Cheerful Chums 4 H club met with Ann Stephens on August 22 1960. Five visitors and one leader attended. Demonstration by Ann Stephens on Main Dish Salad Garnett Bennett spoke on Salada in our Daily Diet Geralda Magee presented on table centerpieces and camp talks. Refreshments were served.
