Legion Auxiliary Meets at Steeves Home with Charity Plans
Mrs. W L Steeves hosted the American Legion Auxiliary meeting with thirteen members present led by president Mrs Lucy Howes. Members sent fifteen pounds of carpet rags to Knoxville Veterans Hospital and ten dozen cookies since the last meeting. Memorial Day plans began to form as refreshments were served. The Girl Reserve elected officers for 1937 38 on April 21 with Dana Foster as president Lorene Brady as vice president Wanda Wilcox as secretary Gene Erle Pratt as treasurer and Maxine Blakeslee as social chairman Installation will be May 2 at a Mothers Tea with Abbott Ralph Pratt and Court Leaverton providing flowers and music. Floyd Farlow Boy Scout troop of Siam will be invited to the services.
