Richard Frame of Hopkins won second place in the FFA tractor operators contest at Mayaville on March 30 with 18 competitors. Jerry Long of Bethany took first and may attend the state meet in Columbus on April 24. Richard is listed as alternate. A District Youth Meet was held April 4 at Hop Xing Christian church with 197 attending a World Fellowship gathering.

Sheridan Boy Hurt Falling From Tractor Near Merckling Farm
Dickie Lee Robertson eight year old son of Mr and Mrs Victor Robertson east of Sheridan sustained a fractured right shoulder after a tractor fall near the Merckling farm on Saturday March 27. He is a Sheridan third grade student and is recovering as well as could be expected.

Moisture Conservation Tips From Contouring And Tillage Practices
Schaller discusses moisture retention through contouring and tillage during the growing season.
