Drowns at Swimming Hole Dunnings Creek
Gene Ray Webb 14 of West St. Clair Twp. drowned in Dunnings Creek near Pleasantville at 3 30 Sunday afternoon. He swam with two friends from a shallow area to deeper water where he disappeared. A man named Robert Shaffer pulled him from the water after about twenty minutes submerged. Pleasantville and Claysburg fire companies aided, but revival efforts failed. Webb, born March 8 1938 in New Enterprise, is survived by his parents Ralph and Ethel Webb eight sisters and six brothers. Funeral set for 2 pm Wednesday at Vernon G Geisel Funeral Home Pleasantville. Interment Ogletown cemetery. Friends may visit after 6 pm Monday.

Driver Dies in Kane Intersection Crash

Motorcyclist Falls Asleep on Pike Hits Car

Dr Charles H Askey a well known Bedford dentist died at his home Sunday night after years of illness and reduced practice. He practiced nearly 26 years in Bedford and earlier offices were in the Ridenour Building. A graduate of the University of Pittsburgh Dental School he is survived by his wife and two children John F and Carol both in Pittsburgh schools. Services are set for 2:30 Tuesday at the Askey home with ministers Mervyn Ross and R S Caldwell. Interment will be in Bedford by Fred C Pate and Son.
