Officers Named By Supervisors in Bedford County Meeting
James Weaver of Broad Top township was named president of the Bedford County Association of Township Supervisors Auditors Tax Collectors and Assessors at an election held at the courthouse yesterday afternoon. Other officers elected are Luke Ritchey vice president Clayton Smith secretary Mrs Gladys Smith assistant secretary Delegates to the state convention are James Weaver Cloyd Bottomfield and Maurice Helsel with Carle Ian Livengood George Calhoun and Bruce Shaffer as alternates. The association meets annually in December with election of officers and adoption of resolutions. The daytime session heard talks on road legislation by H A Tfson state secretary and Oscar McCreary of Erie state president. Speakers in the afternoon included Daniel Bailey district engineer Hollidaysburg and Joseph Thomas Hayesville Ohio.

The Bedford County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary ended its charter with 136 members at a meeting at the Tort Bedford Inn. President Mrs. Ben Hunt called the response gratifying and Mrs. Roy Diehl was named vice president. Trial resignations and staff reports were discussed, with snack bar and gift shop plans outlined and each of seven county areas to report at the next meeting on January 25.
