The band and procession then decorated graves at Fairview and nearby lodges were represented by local officers and members.

Climate and Crops Signal Strong Growth in Week
The week brought above normal temperatures and abundant sun for vigorous crop growth. Weedy cornfields cleaned, four-fifths of planted acreage well cultivated, stand below normal and growth uneven due to replanting, yet overall crop prospects match last year with better soil and air warmth. Small grains show advance, rust limited to oats in some southern counties. clover-heavy, early harvest underway. meadows and pastures excellent. potatoes and garden crops thriving. strawberries yield above average. apples fair in north, not promising in south. Also, William F. Gaddis and Cora E. Allen married at the Bedford Methodist parsonage with blessings for their Ross Township home.
