Des Moines, February 2. The Iowa Department of Agriculture is investigating seed supplies sold to residents. Last year 1150 samples were collected and analyzed, with this year expected to exceed that record. Some seed dealers earned good reputations, others did not. An obituary chronicles the life of Mr. Bradley who served as sheriff of the county on the Democratic ticket during his two terms. After leaving office he partnered in real estate, later acquired a farm near Bedford and retained land in Polk Township. Survived by wife, two brothers Sid and Lon, two sisters Mary Rankin and Mrs. Stickleman, many nieces and nephews. He was active in Blue Lodge Shrine and K P Lodge and well regarded for his congenial nature.
Peter O'Dougherty born Boston Aug 7 1846 died Bedford TaN 28 1926 aged 79 years 65 months 21 days. Services were from the home Saturday at 2 30 p m conducted by Rev G T Roberts. Burial at New Hope cemetery. Survived by wife Lola Mary Underwood seven children and siblings with many grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Relatives gathered January 27 at the Ferguson home to celebrate Mrs Ferguson Bedford turning another year. Guests included Clarence Morgan of Bedford who presented a large birthday cake and a rocking chair was given as a keepsake. The event featured visiting and singing as friends shared warm wishes for many more birthdays.
The Methodist Episcopal Church invites all to special services next Sunday led by Rev. E A Moore and Dr Hugh Lynn. Morning worship will include Sacramental Service and a sermon, followed by an illustrated address and a song service in the evening. The Young Peoples choir will perform. All are welcome.

Regular services are announced for Conway next Sunday morning and evening with an invitation to unite with the church. Dr Hugh Linn of Bidar India, a former schoolmate of the pastor, will lecture at Greenwood church at 2 30 PM Monday February 8 and at Conway church in the evening at 7 20 PM. If possible, attendees should attend Sunday school Sunday morning and aim for strong attendance at all services, referencing January 24th.
Mellissa L. Ginn and children thank friends neighbors and lodges for kindness during illness and death of husband and father and for the floral offerings. Mr and Mrs Al Luther left Sunday for Hot Springs Arkansas to spend a month in recreation.
