The Madrigal Lady Entertainers debuted at the chautauqua yesterday with a varied program. Bertha Pearson Charlotte Cook Theokla Leasbourg Christine Levin form the quartet with soprano mezzo-soprano contralto and reader and violin duties. They tour widely and return dates are in demand by Lyceum committees. The initial concert drew praise for blended voices and polished performances though audience response was tepid at times. The group stays for two days to showcase upcoming programs.
