Bedford Iowa April 12 1926 board adjourned session passed resolutions by the Taylor County Board of Supervisors ordering all highway weeds to be cut twice during the growing season with first cut by June 15 and second by September 15. noxious weeds to be destroyed by owners on property or adjoining highway between June 15 and September 15 including wild mustard sour dock curled dock buckhorn ribbon plantain wild parsnip velvetweed button weed shoofly quack grass Canada thistle cocklebur horse nettle etc.
The document states weeds like dock wild carrot low thistle and Russian thistle must be mowed along road sides between June 15 and September 15 1926. If owners fail to cut burn or destroy these weeds the county will mow or destroy them and tax costs to the landowner. The county auditor is directed to publish the notice in county newspapers dated April 12 1926. Sawyer and Armstrong signed as officials.

Survived by one daughter in Los Angeles five granddaughters and eight great grandchildren. Known for cheerfulness strong faith and love of hymns and the Bible.
