A severe blizzard hit Friday night through Saturday dropping about 20 inches of snow per E. E. Healy the official weather man. Traffic halted and business stopped Saturday but Sunday sun returned and by Monday evening most snow melted except deep drifts. Trains were largely on time and mail routes were slow but resumed Tuesday with difficulty.
