Elevated Train Fire Kills Motorman, 50 Hurt in Chicago
A rush hour elevated train in Chicago caught fire from an electrical flash, killing motorman Daniel Cullen and injuring about 50 passengers. The four car train carrying some 300 Evanston workers coasted a quarter mile as riders fought to escape the blaze, with injuries from burns and crushed bodies as windows were smashed.
