November 1865 items on subscriptions and public figures
The notice discusses subscriber inducements for the Argus newspaper, offering discounts for clubs and commissions to agents, plus a caution about unpaid past dues. It then shifts to editorial commentary on Wirz and the Confederate leadership, arguing Wirz was a subordinate actor and urging punishment of master conspirators. It ends with remarks on Preston King, his suicide, and his Senate service, followed by notes on government tax-fine projections and current expenditures.
